Lushi Filter

Meet Lushi Filter: the Aussie brand set to disrupt your skincare routine

AUSTRALIA, 2025: Launched this month, female-founded Australian brand, Lushi Filter, is making waves as the first premium tap water filtration system specifically designed for your face and hands. Proven to minimise irritation, reduce redness, breakouts and increase overall skin hydration, Lushi Filter is set to redefine skincare routines across the nation and challenge what Australians’ know about the water quality in their homes.

While most water filters are built for drinking, Lushi Filter is designed specifically with skin health top of mind. Harnessing advanced 0.01-micron filtration technology (that’s 8,000 times smaller than a human hair) the filter removes up to 99.9% of chemicals including chlorine & chloramine while eliminating 99% of organic matter and bacteria. This means heavy metals like rust and lead and other skin disrupting contaminants like microplastics, which traditional faucet aerators can’t catch.

The result? Softer, cleaner water. Lab-tested to ensure performance and verified by early reviewers for visible results. For people who suffer with skin sensitivity, dryness, redness, acne-prone skin or dermatitis this is for you - minimising exposure to impurities in the water may be the missing skincare step many don’t know they need.

Lushi Water Filter

Including leading nutritionist, Eleanor GoodAs a mum, I’m always thinking about what goes in my children’s mouths and on their skin, because as an accredited clinical nutritionist, I spend a considerable portion of my time researching and educating my clients about the impacts of environmental toxins on our overall health, and how their constant exposure contributes to chronic inflammation. I’m excited to incorporate Lushi Filter into my treatment plans and to apply it to my taps at home.”

The mission behind Lushi Filter is deeply personal. Born out of a desire to minimise the effects of dry, clogged and irritated skin, CEO and Founder, Annelise Gath, struggled with irritated skin for years before realising the role her tap water was playing.

Lushi Filter, CEO and Founder, Annelise Gath said, “Since I was a teenager, I have battled cystic acne, and in my 30s was diagnosed with Endometriosis. Continuing to suffer from constant breakouts and skin flare ups all through my 20s, I became determined to find a natural, effective solution to fix it.

“It wasn’t until my friend from the Netherlands visited and experienced a harsher effect of our water leaving their skin tighter, more dry and irritated, that I had a lightbulb moment and began thinking about the water quality in my home.

“Unfiltered water can be full of pore-clogging particles and chemicals which trigger irritation and inflammation. Like me, most people haven’t thought about how the poor quality water and old taps and pipe setups in their apartments and homes across Australia could be contributing to their skin problems.”

Though Australian water is regulated as safe to drink, multiple studies have confirmed the presence of microplastics, chlorine, and trace contaminants—all of which can irritate sensitive skin and disrupt your skin’s natural barrier. For those living in cities, older homes and apartments with aging pipes, the exposure can be heightened.

“After just two weeks of using the Lushi Filter, my skin felt calmer, more balanced and noticeably less inflamed. Now I want to educate and help others discover the same relief and glow through a simple, easy change in their daily routine.”

Lushi Filter is easily able to fit on most taps. Now available across Australia for $169.00 AUD through a hassle-free subscription which includes your starter kit + skincare water filter, and a refill filter auto delivered every 3 months or a one-time purchase for $189 AUD.

Testimonials

"After seeing the amount of dirt in my tap water and the chlorine content, I was honestly shocked. One thing’s for sure – I won’t be washing my face without the filter from now on!" Laura, 30, Sydney, Australia

“Everything about Lushi feels like it belongs in my skin routine. It was so disheartening to spend so much money on skincare but have something as crucial as my water quality work against me. Even without using other products, my skin already is so much clearer and less dull. If it were a choice between filtering my water and using an expensive cleanser, I would choose the filtered water.”

Lahra, 28, Brisbane, Australia

“I had no idea how dirty the inside of bathroom taps actually are! It made me think about what all that dirt and chlorine is doing to my skin without a water filter…”

Ruby, 21, Sydney, Australia
